According to a recent study, a sense of humor, kindness or income aren’t the biggest deciding factors in whether or not a person walks away with a date after a speed dating event. University of Edinburgh psychological scientist Alison Lenton and University of Essex economist Marco Francesconi analyzed 84 speed-dating events to find that height and weight are the most important deciding factors in speed dating!

Study findings reveal that preferences at all the events tended to be people who were taller, younger and well-educated. Women also rejected men who were too skinny, while men tended to reject overweight women. In speed dating events with fewer people/choices, choosers had time to consider education, employment or other attributes requiring conversation.

So, it goes without saying…your dating environment heavily affects your dating life.
