A new dating site, You And Me Are Pure, is exclusively for virgins only. Site creators say that the website’s aim is “to use virginity as a significant compatibility tool to bring people together. Some people may overlook the bonding power of virginity. Virginity as an important common aspect between people can lead to close friendships, or can even serve as a mutual precious gift of marriage.”
Right. Have you seen the actual website? Overlooking the fact that visually, it just looks tacky and lacks that refining touch of a well-made website (come on people, have you heard of graphic designers?), their very definition of a virgin rules out a whole lot of people.
A virgin person is someone who has not experienced sexual intercourse or the
physical and emotional feelings associated with it and whose first sexual
intercourse if it ever takes place serves as the limit to his/her innate
sexual innocence, with the intercourse ranging from merely being a sexual
act with long lasting impressions, to one where the innate sexual innocence
is shared as the most profound expression of love in the physical form, like
no other subsequent sexual acts that already lack the innate sexual
innocence.
Can I get a dot, dot, dot? For one, that’s an obvious run-on. For two, by “the physical and emotional feelings associated with [sexual intercourse],” do they mean love? Oh, and physical feelings? What are those?
Anyways, the site also comes with their own little gift shop, where you can not only purchase a membership gift certificate for a virgin relative and/or friend, you can also purchase little credit card sized v-cards, as a reminder to stay a virgin.
More power to the virgins, I say.
