It’s winter and that winter means cold weather. Summer is over, meaning no long summer walks along the beach shore for a while, but that shouldn’t stop you from going out on a date with your boyfriend! Take the winter breezes and low temperatures as an advantage for some activities that are suited perfectly for the season. Here are 10 winter dates that you just might want to give a try!
1. Choose a movie theater and just watch whatever is showing.
See the next movie showing, no matter what movie it is. If it turns out to be a good one, then you both would have had a good time. If it’s not so great, then you guys will have a mutual dislike and scientists proved that mutual dislike help people develop feelings for each other. Either way, both of you will still be spending quality time together.
2. Make s’mores in the fireplace.
It’s cold outside, so you might as well stay inside with the warm, cozy fireplace and cuddle with your partner while making something sweet and delicious. All you need is a bag of marshmallows!
3. Check out a local ghost tour.
It requires you to use your imagination, suspended disbelief, and sarcasm and gets your adrenaline pumping! Guys can take this chance to “protect” the girls and girls will have a reason to tighten her grasp onto her partner’s arm and huddle even more close to him.
4. Head over to the local farmers’ market.
Although some of your favorite fruits may not be in season, you can still go together for a walk to pick up some healthy organic ingredients and both team up to make a tasty homemade candlelight dinner.
5. Snowboarding!
Forget the whole dinner and a movie, instead, make use of the weather and try something adventurous and exciting like snowboarding. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t pro at it, you guys can still have fun. It’ll display your adventurous, playful side along with athleticism or bravery to try something new. Hey, while you’re at it, build a snowman or have a cute snowball fight. Then, head inside for some hot cocoa to warm up and chat about the experience.
6. Enjoy some Korean BBQ.
Go get a nice warm, fun meal at a Korean BBQ place. Traditional BBQs require you to take off your shoes, sit at a floor-level “table,” and grill your own meal. Exoticism does good to a new romance.
7. See a local band neither of you know.
It offers a great opportunity to find out about each others’ taste in music. Even if the band sucks, anything rock n’ roll is bound to make you look cooler.
8. Enjoy playing trivia night at a bar.
Grab a drink and amaze your date with your knowledge of random and maybe even useless facts. Besides, if your team does win, drinks are usually on the house!
9. Have your own film festival.
Set up a movie night with just you, your date, a pile of classic DVDs, your favorite snacks, and a comfy couch. Flick off that light switch and snuggle together for hours under a warm blanket.
10. Take a trip to the local library.
Have fun rediscovering your childhood with your date by showing each other your favorite books as a kid in the children section. Read some of your favorite lines or just have fun wandering around. Whispering can be quite sexy if you get too loud and get hushed by the librarian.
