Are you wondering why on earth you’re still single? Maybe it’s because there’s this one guy, who suits almost everything in your “dream guy” list, but just doesn’t complete it, or nobody suits your standards because you’re secretly married to that fantasy character or celebrity whom no one can compare to because they’re too perfect in your head. Nobody is perfect, so if there’s that one thing you’re distraught about, let it go. Here are seven things you definitely should not fret about:
1. His job (so you’ve always imagined yourself as the first lady of America, or some wife of this super rich guy, get over it. As long as he’s happy with his job, and has goals, it doesn’t really matter.)
2. If you are more educated than him or older. (They do say, age doesn’t matter, or smarts.)
3. Things he can’t be blamed for (like his accent, you’ll get used to it-eventually.)
4. His table manners (unless he eats like a barbarian, or you’re raising your kids in front of him during dinner.)
5. The type of places he likes to hangout (not all men are proper gentlemen.)
6. His height. (Hollywood just makes us think men have to all be taller than us. Prince Charles, for instance was a few inches shorter than Princess Diana, but nobody seemed to really care.)
7. His overall style (unless of course you’re that into the fashion department because you’re obviously not a guy, so it can’t really be your style, it’s his.)
Like a teacher at my school says: it’s either we all drop our ridiculously high standards, or we’ll all die alone.
