I was actually more surprised about the googling part. Apparently, they like to, or rather, they want to know everything about you before they go off on a date with you. Knowing that you’ve played the cello before or scored a perfect score on the latest math test makes them feel more comfortable. You may think, those are such small small insignificant details - why would he want to know that? It makes them feel more reassured - it lets them know what’s the “right” thing to say at the date. Yeah, I was really surprised reading that. It’s pretty funny, actually.
