You never know what your man may be saying to his buds while they’re chuggin’ beer at his pal’s house, but here, we’ve got a few ideas. Face it, sometimes guys gossip between each other just like we do- minus the giggling. A characteristic of men are… they’re just blunt.

New York City-based couples therapist Rachel Sussman says, “”Most men don’t understand proper relationship etiquette and don’t think before talking about things you thought were just between the two of you… It doesn’t occur to them that it might be personal.” So beware ladies!

1. You Wax Your Upper Lip

Truly, girls don’t care if you think they look like cow manure as long as you tell them otherwise. They love thinking that guys think that they’re gorgeous- period. Sure it hurts our pride and boosts his ego but truly, we suffer for beauty because of him! Relationship expert Terri Orbuch, who wrote 5 Simple Steps to Take Your Marriage from Good to Great says that whenever he speaks of your conquests to beauty, “He’s basically saying, ‘Look what this girl does for me. She’s going through all of these painful things to look beautiful for me,’”. Well… at least he notices.

2. You Both Just Had a Huge Bloody Fight (Minus the blood)

It’s no surprise but it still sucks whenever he complains about your latest battle to his mates. It sucks even more when we realize that we also commit that crime. Sussman says, “Everyone deserves support from their friends and it’s perfectly normal for him to want to talk it out with someone else.” It makes perfect sense because we always talk to our girlfriends in hopes of them also seeing what a douche he was.

3. What You Both Did Last Night

Men are competitive and it never changes. Obviously they will compare their late night adventures with one another trying to one-up each other. It’s embarrassing but it’s also unstoppable. “Guys have been doing this kind of thing since they were five years old. It’s how they relate to each other,” says Sussman. Ah wise words but they’re still difficult to accept.
