How would you know if the guy you’re dating will cheat on you or not? A study recently published in the Journal of Evolutionary Psychology found that females were more likely to classify a guy as a cheater if he had a deep voice. During the study, men were asked to make vowel sounds and women were asked to choose who was most attractive and most likely to cheat. The obvious result of course is: the guy with the deepest voice.

Although this may not be correctly accurate, another study McMaster University’s Jill O’Connor says that it’s evolutionary- the deeper the voice, the more testosterone.

“We certainly aren’t saying someone will cheat on someone else just because they have a deep voice — just that this observation supports our (evolutionary) hypothesis,” says O’Connor. “We wouldn’t advise any behavior changes because of this. People aren’t slaves to biology.”

Many of you might disagree with this statement but face it, doesn’t your voice go higher when you’re talking to a guy you like? The study also found that men were more attracted to women with high-pitched voices. Interesting.
