Valentine’s Day is the date for love, but sometimes we don’t always have the budget we’d like to help express our love to that special someone. Here are 5 different Valentine’s Day date ideas that won’t break the bank and will help you get closer to the person of your dreams.

Monkeying Around
- Find a park or playground and challenge each other to silly contests such as who can go the farthest on the monkeybars, hopscotch, who can swing the highest, or who can do the coolest trick. Loser has to kiss the winner in a place they choose. The competition will help you interact with each other more.

Pack A Picnic
- You don’t always need to go to some fancy restaurant for a date, sometimes you’ve just got to do a little planning ahead and making some yummy food and a few chocolate strawberries and find yourself a nice grassy hill and you can have a simple yet romantic lunch or dinner under a shady tree.

Feed My Heart
- Decide on a new dish that neither of you have prepared before and make a date learning how to cook it, that way you will be spending time together, learning how to make something, and be able to eat the fruit of your labor afterwards.

Spa Day for 2
- Going to a spa can be a bit pricey so why not treat each other at home instead? It’s a great chance to build a better bond and chat, and you get to be a little more hands-on with each other by taking turns giving each other back and foot rubs with romantic scented oils.

Themed Movie Night
- Instead of going out the the movie theatre, have a movie night at home and make things a little more interesting by having each of you pick out an interesting theme such as “worst movie of all time”, or “best classic you’ve heard of”.

Pick one, or even string a few of these ideas together and I can guarantee that you will have an enjoyable and memorable Valentine’s Day without breaking bank.
