My last pseudo date has inspired me to be more proactive in figuring out a means to distinguish the time I spend with the opposite sex as a date or just hanging out. Of course I only call it a pseudo date because it’s still unclear to me whether it was hanging out or if it was an actual date. After much soul searching, late night phone calls with every kindred spirit I could talk to/person willing to pretend like they were listening to me, a new resolution to this problem has presented itself to me. Once again, I took to the streets and Facebook to ask people the age-old question, “Who should pay on a date?” The responses I received are so varied that I don’t think we’ll ever reach one universal answer.

“I paid on all the dates I’ve been on but according to my friends that are girls, they said pay on the 1st date and on subsequent dates, either split the bill or take turns paying. I use monopoly money sometimes.” - David Le, 26, Allergan employee.

According to a Google search, most people want to date you. After all, why would anyone go through the extra effort of searching for how-to advice on Google? I went on date two with Fausto. A brunch date at Aquagrill. A cute place. Not too romantic. No reservations needed. He wore a t-shirt and jeans and looked more relaxed than our first date in his suit.

Gaining extra winter weight, affects us all. Even dating sites. International dating site BeautifulPeople.com, has recently imposed a strict ban on “ugly people” for the new year. What’s ugly to BeautifulPeople.com? Overweight people. To enforce the ban, the site canned at least 5,000 people from their site for being overweight. Not only is this an incredibly insensitive and terrible move, one has to wonder: How do they expect to do business? Surely 5,000 lost accounts equates to a sizable financial lost. Ok, I have decided to bring this question to the open minded men of CL. Is it wrong to want a guy to be borderline abusive? I am a sexy vibrant outspoken female.
